LEAPO TRASH SERVICE
We can service any residence in a lake subdivision or on a road leading to the lake subdivisions. (See the map insert.)
The yearly dues for LEAPO are $24 and you must be a member of LEAPO to have the discounted Trash Service.
The cost of trash pickup with LEAPO is 29.00 per quarter. The prepayment for a year is $113 with a discount of $3 and realizing a saving on postage, checks, stamps, etc. These costs are in line with or more economical that other services.
Service must be paid in advance and by the calendar quarter. Anyone wishing to take advantage of this program may do so at any time. If you wish to begin the service during mid-quarter you will need to send the pro-rated payment for the current quarter and payment for the next quarter in advance.

Holiday Schedule The trash will be picked up one day later following a holiday. The schedule will resume following a Saturday pickup during the holiday week. Midwest Waste observes the following holidays:
New Years Day - Memorial Day - Independence Day - Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
Holidays that occur on a weekend will not alter the pick up schedule.
- Seasonal Service If you wish seasonal service it is your responsibility to notify LEAPO when you leave and when you return. This can be done by phone, 618-995-2629 and leave a message; by fax to the same number; by email to: leapo@leapo.com or by dropping a note to POB 127, Goreville, Illinois 62939.
- If you are gone for a short period of time we will issue credit for unused service. Again, it will be your responsibility to notify LEAPO when you leave and when you return.
- You will receive a quarterly invoice from LEAPO. If payment is not received by the due date, in 30 days, your service is subject to termination. To re-instate your service you may need to provide the necessary payment and a deposit may be required.
- We have found that Allied will pick up most of the items left for them. They ask that if you put something out that looks like it may be slightly usable, please leave a note that it is trash and should be picked up. Mark the note with your address and attach it to the item in a plastic bag.
- If you have bulky items, e.g. carpeting, furniture or such, please tie it in bundles that can be handled by one person. If you have more than a pickup truck load, you may incur additional charges for the pickup.
- Allied cannot pick up appliances, used oil, tires, wet paint, paint thinner, yard waste or construction materials. We try to keep a current list of vendors who perform this service. Please call for info.
- Allied does have "roll off" dumpsters available. These fees must be prepaid. There is a weight factor for the use of these dumpsters. If they are filled with concrete and/or shingles and they cannot be lifted by the truck there may be an extra charge. The dumpster charges are as follows: 6 yard (11 x 7 x 4) $50 with $105 charge for each pick up. 10 yard $250, 20 yard $350, and 30 yard $380. Construction materials are permitted in the dumpsters.
